DFB Group is a full-service Architecture and Construction company located in McLean, VA.

Founded by Cathal, whose passion for design and construction began in his family’s metal fabrication workshop. Surrounded by welders, CNC machines, and plasma cutters, he learned early on how materials can be shaped to create innovative spaces and experiences.

After earning his Master’s in Architecture from the University of Dublin in Ireland, Cathal embarked on a diverse architectural career, working on projects in Dublin, South America, and New York City. He expanded his interests in construction and real estate by collaborating with award-winning companies, ultimately leading him to establish DFB Group in 2017.

Since its inception, DFB Group has successfully undertaken townhome renovations, custom furniture design and fabrication, and single-family home construction.

Today, DFB Group continues to grow as a premier design, fabrication, and building company, dedicated to delivering the highest quality work tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
